Two Individuals Formally Indicted for Inmate Homicide of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins
Two individuals now face murder charges after the jailhouse death of ex-Lostprophets frontman and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) stand indicted for homicide and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.
Watkins, 48, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after confessing to numerous sex crimes which included the tried rape of a very young child.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
